So, yes, still in France.
Crappy French Broadband is choosing it's moments to be broad and at all other times is being narrow in the extreme. I've rung Neuf and apparently it's all to do with the geography of the village and outdated French phone lines - ex-blinkin'-cuses!!
Simon went home on Sunday ... back in work on Monday morning - so he'll be as happy as, well as something that's REALLY, REALLY unhappy.

I seem to remember that last year I had to write a snotty letter in your comment box to the French telephonic Big WIgs to make you get broad band... want me to do it again to get it sorted?
Our summer is making us un peu heureuse too....blimey, what a load of rainy stuff...
And it's due to rain this weekend and again next weekend...
