I have a list, it's short and unpalatable and today I am adding to it ... It's the List of Things I don't want to eat again before I die. Up until today it consisted of tripe, blackcurrants, marzipan, rhubarb, goosberries, aniseed/liqourice and mango*. As of today you can officially add Westphalian Black Rye Bread. Why? Why? Why would anyone want to make a cheese sandwich out something that tastes/smells and has the consistency of sour Christmas pudding. Mother's Pride someone please!!! * A short list I consider myself an omnivore.

I've never had that bread but it does not sound appealing!
I rather like rhubarb but no one in my household does so....
Rhuburb? Lovely!
And this from somebody who eats turkey gizzards!
I tried rye bread (not westphalian) a couple of years ago and hated it. So like, you are totally right!
I just checked out your photos......wonderful!
Hmmmm....I love rhubarb but it's true that a lot of people hate it. I'm with you on tripe, though!
Thanks for the comment. I'm timidly wending my way back into Blogland...
are you talking about Pumpernickel...!!! I suspect I'd appreciate it now, but I hated it as a child - and now that I'm gluten free I don't have to trouble myself to find out! Heh! And you don't like marzipan - shame on you. I'm off to nibble some almonds...
OK, you're back home....let's hear what else you did and ate!
Licorice? Really?
Marzipan is evil. Seriously.
