I am struggling to find a photo for this week's PhotoHunt theme CANDY - I might have to go to Tesco (during the football this afternoon ... when it's bound to be empty) and snap a couple of shots of the sweet aisle. I'm just worried that they'll chuck me out if I do ... I might try it with my camera phone BUT - looks longingly around for someone who'll answer this question - how will I then transfer it to my PC?? Until then, you could always go over and answer today's Question of the Day ... no Lisa *wink* you don't have to answer everyone's/all of them.

All work and no play makes Jo a sad, sad sack
So, over the weekend, I worked.
Actually, I forgot on Saturday I took 2 hours off and went to Bluewater with Ruth - I love you Bluewater - and then I came home and worked.
If you know anyone even considering a career in teaching who wants a life, weekends, holidays to themselves tell them, no order them not to do it! You know it's not that I don't love the job - I adore the job BUT there's no work-life balance and a certain someone isn't half giving me stick about it!
Right, better leave it because I have to go and shower ... I am off to work soon :o(
p.s. Don't forget to go on over to That’s my answer!
The official question of the day — it’s your daily pitstop for questionable fun :o)

Shocked!
We had a surprise visit from our local health visitor yesterday. She's lovely and we see lots of her as children as young as the ones we get to play games with all day long teach are still seen by her and not by the school nurse.
She came to talk about a little lovely who started with us in September has some health issues that Mum forgot to tell us about. This little slip is that he has hemophilia. How the hell do you forget something like that? It's not like forgetting to mention a verruca is it? Shocked? Just a little!

Randomly speaking
Why does it always rain on the first day of any school holidays? Why didn't it rain last week whilst I was in school? Oh hang on it did rain, cold lumpy rain called snow!
I've just been cringing at Ready, Steady Cook .... does Ainsley Harriot really need to pull those faces?
I've booked Sunday lunch at the Pot Kiln for Simon's birthday in May! BUT what the hell else can I get? He's going to be 50!
I am not, really not, not, not going into school this week!
I wish I'd been able to go to Edinburgh with Shisho and Kelly this past weekend :o(
In my spam folder ... what's the difference between professional viagra and ordinary viagra?
The doctor's receptionist didn't laugh when I said *Forrest Gump voice* "It's my butt-tock!"
What are you having for dinner? It's spicy chicken and new potatoes here :o)
