Just back from Spain ... well, more like I'm back from Spain since last Sunday but the fug of post holiday blues has stopped me writing anything about it. However, having dragged myself away from the teetering edge of the pit of despair I can tell you that I had a fantastic time.
Between strolling along the waterline ... finding iconic restaurant signs ... spending time with friends ... and dreaming about how I was going to get home, there was also time for some pretty delicious food. Hilights included tellines, razor clams pan fried with chorizo, pan con tomate y jamón, trinxat with griddled belly pork, zarzuela, Catalan broad beans - with botifarra negra (black pudding) and belly pork, escalivada and the odd dish of seafood paella.

How did you ever cope!
Good luck with those post-holiday blues my friend :)
I ♥ zarzuela!
I do NOT wear this unattractive shade of green envy well. What a LOVELY trip!
Holy crap! Is that a pan of Paella Valencia or an art installation?
GORGEOUS!
I don't know Fi it's beyond me!
Me too Lesley and we had it in an old truck driver's stop in the back of beyond and it was delicious!!
Thanks CG & CG I had a fab time and ate everything not nailed down!!
Looks idyllic and a great way to spend the half term break.
Wow - gorgeous pictures...love the seafood. All of it loks wonderful. Wouldn't it be nice to work there part of the yaer and spend off times roamng the beach?!
Glad you had a great time, love your shots. El Bulli was on tv last week and learned a lot about the menu and so on, but the 215 euros or so per person (without drinks) is not exactly on my budget ...
;)
It is clearly a very tough life you lead, but equally, someone has to do it, eh?! So glad you had such a great time away!
This does look hard to get over - -we can't seem to get two days straight of sun, or even two hours.
well I'm desperately jealous, but I'm glad you are back :-)
you weren't on that yacht, were you???
Mingling!
