Shocked!

We had a surprise visit from our local health visitor yesterday. She's lovely and we see lots of her as children as young as the ones we get to play games with all day long teach are still seen by her and not by the school nurse.
She came to talk about a little lovely who started with us in September has some health issues that Mum forgot to tell us about. This little slip is that he has hemophilia. How the hell do you forget something like that? It's not like forgetting to mention a verruca is it? Shocked? Just a little!

some mothers (and fathers).....
How on earth can a parent not mention this!!
its sickening that some parents seem to think that dumping their child in front of the telly and feeding them jaffa cakes and tip-tops constitutes good parenting.

To be honest, if I knew my kid was OK with most activities, I might 'forget' for a little while; just long enough to have him fixed in his teachers minds as 'basically normal', rather than have them err on the side of extreme caution at his expense.
At least now this kid has made friends in class without being 'the special needs one in the corner'. I'm sure you wouldnt let segregation be that severe or obvious, but you can't blame a mum for worrying.
